Here I am again.... Pattern testing!
I present thee with Davina Dress, the latest from Kennis at Itch to Stitch,
and I love it.
Can't you tell?
This dress is the bomb to wear.
My test version is sewn up in a plum colored ITY knit. It's quite drapey, but it feels so good on me. This dress is truly everything that I need in my life. It even twirls! Who doesn't like a good twirl?
The tester copy was excellent, as usual and Kennis really does a good job on her instructions. I do absolutely love to test for her. Her communication is on point and she never disappoints with her patterns. I will forever love you Kennis!
Anywho... I love how versatile this dress is. I chose to make the short sleeves. Even though it's still in the 90's here in Chicago, the weather here can change in a matter of a few hours. This dress can be worn in every season. I dressed it up to see how it would feel for Fall and Winter, and I quite like it that way. I am the type of girl that loves layers and accessories.
I made a size 4 with no changes at all, which is weird for me because I'm short and I usually have to do a SBA and shorten everything. This dress fits like a glove, but comfortably. I love how the gathers accentuates my lack of boobs!
It was hot as heck on this day so excuse the crazy face!
I highly recommend this pattern. This is a staple piece. I already have 3 more in the works. If you are contemplating, do it! The pattern is 20% off right now and you can enter in for a giveaway! Please visit Itch to Stich. Thanks guys!
Until next time
